How to Install WhatsApp on PC
WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform real time mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange multimedia and text messages. It works only for mobile platforms but at times when your phone is broken or isn’t working or stolen then how do we use it?
We can still use WhatsApp by installing it in our PC, yes it’s possible!!! As WhatsApp only installs on a mobile, so we need to install an Emulator in our case we will be using Android Emulator “YouWave” and then install WhatsApp on top of it.
Please follow the below step by step guide on how to install WhatsApp on PC.
1. You need to download any Android Emulator and install it in your PC or Laptop; we will use YouWave in our tutorial. You can also use BlueSatcks as an Android Emulator; BlueSatcks offers a free unlimited version and has no trial.
2. You also need to download the WhatsApp application for Android. (It can also be done through inbuilt browser in Android)
3. Install and run YouWave from the setup file you downloaded. (Starting the application for the first time may take some time)
4. On the top menu you will have an option named “Help”. Click on it and you will find a sub-option named “Instructions”. This will show you the current directory for your Android applications. You need to copy the “WhatsApp.apk” which you downloaded to this directory.
5. Now you need to refresh the applications database. This can be done by clicking on “Redraw Icons” option in “View” menu.
6. Now you will see the WhatsApp icon in the applications database. Just double-click on it and it will be installed. Now you need to input your phone number and let the application wait for the SMS verification. It will keep on trying for 5 minutes and then it will ask you to verify your phone number by getting a call on the number you provided for the verification code. Click on “Call Me” button and receive the call. Now just input the code they gave you on the phone in the space provided.
Once verification is done now you can easily use WhatsApp on PC. Similarly you can use most of the Android applications on your computer itself. If you liked the article then do share it with your friends
